SUNDAY, MAY 19, 2019 5TH SUNDAY OF EASTER
PRIEST: Jesus gives us a new commandment, to love one another as he has loved us. Let us pray for the self-giving, compassionate love of Jesus to transform the world.
1. That the church might stand with the persecuted throughout the world and be a voice of hope for the time when God “will wipe every tear from their eyes,” we pray to the Lord.
2. That people throughout the world, especially those in power, embrace Jesus’ way of selfless giving and love, we pray to the Lord.
3. That those in need of love, especially the orphaned, abandoned and imprisoned, experience Christ’s care and compassion through the actions of those they encounter, we pray to the Lord.
4. That all those included in the Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquets may be blessed with abundant graces, we pray to the Lord.
5. That those who suffer in body, mind or spirit, may experience God’s healing touch, we pray to the Lord.
6. That those who have died marked with the sign of faith, just as Christ shared our mortal bodies, they may come to share in his eternal glory, especially Juliann Nguyen, Cecilia Nguyen, Jerome Mezenko, Kiem Hoang, Maria Orozco,___________________, we pray to the Lord.
