SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 2019 THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (Corpus Christi)
PRIEST: Christ, our high priest, offers us his Body and Blood in the Eucharistic feast. In thanksgiving for this great gift, we, in turn, offer up all that we are to God as we pray for our needs and the needs of our world.
1. That all members of the church would heed the words of Jesus, “Give them some food yourselves” and seek to alleviate spiritual and physical hunger throughout the world, we pray to the Lord.
2. That Christian denominations around the world be led into unity by Jesus, our high priest, we pray to the Lord.
3. That all those who experience hunger, especially children and vulnerable adults, be provided for, out of the earth’s abundant resources, we pray to the Lord.
4. That all the fathers mentioned in the Father’s Day Spiritual Gift experience God’s love and grace, we pray to the Lord.
5. That all who are sick or in need, find comfort in the love of Christ and hope in the promise of eternal life, we pray to the Lord.
6. That all who have died enter into the fullness of life foreshadowed here in the celebration of the Eucharist especially David Gonzales________________, we pray to the Lord.
