SUNDAY, AUGUST 11, 2019 19TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: Let us bring our prayers to the Lord that we might always be about the work of building the kingdom of God.

1. That the church be a shining light, constantly in service to God and people, we pray to the Lord.

2. That those who govern and those in position of authority take action to end the violence and hatred that is consuming our nation, we pray to the Lord.

3. That those gathered here prepare our hearts and minds for the day we meet the Son of Man face-to-face, we pray to the Lord.

4. That those in our parish community who are nearing death be consoled and supported in their transition from earthly life, we pray to the Lord.

5. That God’s kindness be upon those have died and have put their hope in him, especially Tung Thanh Phan, Hung Thai Nguyen,___________________, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· Faith Formation 2019-2020 registration opened August 1st. Early registration discount applies until August 25th. Office hours for registration Monday thru Friday is from 9:30am to 5pm. Saturday the hours are from 9am to 1pm.

· As part of Faith Formation we offer a Special Needs Education Program to prepare the intellectually disabled to receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation. Register in the Faith Formation office. Volunteers are gratefully welcomed and training will be provided.

· August 15th is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Holy Day of Obligation. The Mass schedule is on the front cover of the bulletin.

· Father Michael Barry will celebrate our monthly Healing Mass on Monday, August 9th at 7pm. Praise and Worship begins at 6:30pm.
