Lectors

Lectors have the privilege through training, to proclaim the Word of the Lord.  

Lectors proclaim God's word through Sacred Scripture and lead the Prayers of the Faithful.  

They will also make the  closing announcements.

SUNDAY, MAY 5, 2024                     SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

UNIVERSAL PRAYER

PRIEST: As Jesus invites us to follow him, we turn our hearts and minds to the Father and present our petitions before him.

1) For our Holy Mother Church and her work of love and mercy around the world, may God strengthen her efforts, we pray to the Lord.

2) For those in authority, may God show them the way of true servant-leadership, we pray to the Lord.

3) For all who suffer from persecution of any kind, may God be with them in their affliction, we pray to the Lord.

4) For all in this assembly especially on our journey as disciples, may God draw us ever closer to his heart, we pray to the Lord.

5) For our youth, confirmed by the gifts of the Holy Spirit last week, that they give witness to Christ by lives built on faith and love, we pray to the Lord.

6) For those who have died, may God bring them to eternal life and rest in him, especially, we pray to the Lord.
