Sorrel drink

Ingredients

2 lb Fresh sorrel

1 lb ginger

10 quarts boiling water

3.5 to 4 lb sugar

Instructions

    • Wash sorrel pods, place in a metal container or pot
    • Boil water, pour over sorrel
    • Grate ginger into mixture and stir
    • Cover and leave to steep overnight
    • Strain and discard the pods
    • Add enough sugar till you have reached your desired sweetness
    • Bottle and refrigerate
