Bacon wrapped Coffee Bourbon Ham

Ingredients

Fully cooked Caribbean Passion boneless leg ham

1 pack Caribbean passion streaky bacon

1 jar Maraschino cherries

Glaze

1 cup maple syrup

1 cup bourbon

1 ½ tablespoon instant coffee

Instructions

    • Make sure the ham is completely defrosted
    • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
    • Completely wrap in several layers of foil
    • Place in a baking dish half filled up with water
    • Allow to steam for 35 to 45 minutes warming the ham all the way through
    • Remove from the oven and set aside to rest
    • In a sauce pan warm and dissolve the coffee in the bourbon and maple syrup
    • Remove the ham from the foil
    • Place the strips of bacon across the ham securing the ends with a toothpick and a cherry
    • Repeat until the entire ham is covered
    • Pour the maple coffee bourbon glaze over the entire ham
    • Place in the oven, bake until the bacon Is golden brown and crispy
    • Remove from oven allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing
