We have many new teachers here at ThunderRidge this year, so we decided to interview Mr. King so that the ThunderRidge family can get to know him. Mr. King is full of energy, and he teaches in the weight room and the team room. We are happy to have such a great teacher here for the Grizzlies! Mr. King has loved it here so far, so we decided to ask him some questions about ThunderRidge and his experience so far.
While Mr. King is new to ThunderRidge this year, he previously taught at Legend High School. We wanted to give our students a chance to get to know Mr. King, so we asked him a few questions: First, we asked him how he liked ThunderRidge. “So far, ThunderRidge has been amazing! The staff, kids, everything about it here, even the culture. It has exceeded my expectations.” We then asked him what his last school was and if it had any traditions like ThunderRidge. “My last school was Legend High School in Parker, a Douglas County school. Wish week is a huge tradition there, which is kinda similar to Homecoming Week. But, Field Day is like Wish Week and Homecoming combined, but on steroids.” This goes to show how big of a week Homecoming is and how serious ThunderRidge takes it.
We have a special school here at ThunderRidge, which is amazing to hear Mr. King affirm even in his first few months here. Next year, if you want to take a class with a great teacher, take one with Mr. King! He is funny and of the nicest teachers here. One of the most interesting things in the interview is that he said, "Family," as the one word to describe ThunderRidge. The Grizzlies support each other through thick and thin. We help each other out when others fall. That’s what makes our school so special and our teachers so awesome. We are very lucky to have Mr. King here today at ThunderRidge.
