Grizzly Gives week is always one of the best weeks of the entire year. With the different themes, the activities after school, and giving back to families in need, all of the ThunderRidge community comes together. The activities after school are always lots of fun and have loads of excitement.
One of these events is the Color Run. The Color Run is when students participate in a Fun Run around the path next to the school while being doused with different colors of powder. There are buckets filled with color set all around the path.
Thank you to all the groups that helped set this event up like Student Government.
It was a cold day during this year’s Color Run, so there were not as many students participating as expected, but there was still lots of excitement.

Student Kasey Meyn(9) had this to say about the event: “I think it’s a great event for Grizzly Gives Week and it’s for a great cause for the two families. It’s very unique with the color and overall lots of fun.”
The run is usually around a mile, starting by the soccer field and going around the track and baseball field. Ranch View Middle School also has a similar event for 8th graders at the end of the year.
The Color Run can sum up the excitement the Grizzly Gives Week. Lots of fun events that are for a couple families in need and are a great way to show school spirit and to help one another.
This is what makes our school unique. We always have fun, but we help each other out when it is needed. At the Color Run, every person there had a big smile on their face because of how much of a great time it was. Also, at the other events during Grizzly Gives, everyone had fun and it was just a great experience for most.
Next year, support the Grizzlies and the families in need by going to the Color Run. It is one of the best events during Grizzly Gives Week.
