U.S. Cyber Security in the Age of Global Tension

Cyber security is under attack and you can prevent it from happening to you if you take these steps and procedures to stop and protect yourself from any harm done to your computer or phone.
What really is cyber security and how do you know what yours is and the right step to take care and protect your internet? Currently the main threat is coming from Russia who said they will lead a cyber attack on the USA so everyone must be ready for a possible attack from Russia. Cyber security is something that can be attacked from any external website and be hacked. Any info that is supposed to be hidden can be leaked and spread across the internet so that no one would have any security when it comes to their private information. The main places that are being targeted are power grids and big companies like twitter or google which could lead to big info leakes. The idea that everyone can be affected because a group of people attack one company like google is bad. it leads to panic and many people use google to hold info which could be bad if it gets in the wrong hands.
The chance that the USA's cybersecurity is in trouble is low but could be attacked and they only really try to attack major places and companies. so they would only come to major places because they would have the most info that they could use if they get what they want. The best way to keep your info private is by keeping your passwords safe, never to join or use weird or creepy looking sites that could hold a virus to gain your info, and to use a vpn to keep your location and private info safe. From 2014 to 2016, according to CrowdStrike, the Russian APT Fancy Bear used Android malware to target the Ukrainian Army's Rocket Forces and Artillery. The Russians have done this in the past and are not afraid to do it again but it's because we have strengthened our protection online which has left them unable to make another attack. Us invested in increasing the amount of traffic that flows through their database.
In conclusion, cyber security has improved and we don't have to worry that much about it. The Russians may still try to do a cyber strike to stop the U.S from affecting their current economy but for now we are safe.
