You might be wondering what GTA FiveM is and I’m here to tell you what it is and how you can play with you and your friends. FiveM is a role-play type game where there's many servers that you can join. It has more mods which lets you play as a cop or in other departments such as Fire or EMS or you can play as a civilian. When you first join you have to join their Discord server which allows you to join departments. You are able to do things you can do in real life like driving, swimming, flying planes or a helicopter. To play, first, buy GTA 5 and download it. Once you have it downloaded, you search up FiveM on a browser and download the application. Then link it to your steam account so that you are able to play, and once that is done, you can go into FiveM specific servers and play, or you can join a law enforcement department. FiveM is a different download that you have to install and hook up to your account. You are also able to play GTA V online, or you can play the story mode. So, you get two games for the price of one! Currently on Steam, you can buy GTA for $29.98 and this includes the premium edition which is currently on sale for 25% off letting you save $10. Some servers that are offered for you to play on are more “fun” servers where the rules are less strict or some of the other servers are more strict and require an application for you to play. When I say strict this is a whitelisted game where you have to fill out an application and the cops will get you for anything and everything that you do against the law. Most of the servers you get on require you to join their discord server and some of the time there is a CAD which lets you register your character and what car you are driving. This lets cops create arrest reports, tickets, warning, and can also put warrants out on you, some servers require you to join the CAD, while some other ones have it in game. This allows you to register your character and the car that you are driving; You can also receive tickets, get different types of license, and put out warrants. I prefer to play on the servers that are strict because most of the time that is where all of the good role playing goes on and it gives you more options and opportunities to do different things than in regular gta like being able to do a normal job in the game, and doing some illegal jobs. One of the servers that I play on lets you be a taxi driver, trucker, farmer, miner, and other few options. If you want there are also illegal ways to make money in the game that I will not be listing in this article.Most of the good rp servers will require you to go and fill out an application in order for you to play and possibly an interview. You can also find small servers that are active and most of the time you can make new friends or you can choose to join a bigger server. I would recommend playing 5Mil, however, before you play FiveM I would recommend playing the story mode for a little bit, just to learn the controls and get an overall feel for the game. If you want you can just play FiveM but the only thing you need to do is finish the intro to GTA V in order to go online. When you are playing GTA, I would also suggest seeing if the server you are playing in has a sound pack for different sounds like sirens and some other sounds. They make the game sound more realistic and overall add a better experience. I hope you enjoy playing FiveM!
