What is your favorite music genre? Music is a huge part of most high school student’s daily lives. While walking through the hallways you will always notice several people with earbuds or airpods in. Music helps students focus, stay entertained, and is a good way to express themselves. But what kind of music? After conducting several interviews with ThundeRidge students, it’s very clear country music is a popular choice. The top two country music artists people love to listen to were Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan. 

In 2014, Morgan Wallen gained his fame after his appearance on The Voice. His music could be considered a combination of country and pop. He is a relatively new artist with a new album said to release on March 3, 2023! His hit song is “Dangerous”. 

Zach Bryan had a slower start to fame but eventually began going viral in 2018. At the end of 2022 he ranked No. 2 on Billboard's all-genre top new artists chart. He is going on tour very soon and the tickets sold out in 30 seconds! His top hit song is “Something in the Orange”. 

These are only a few of the many good country artists. Most people interviewed either love or hate the country and there's not many people that stand in between. If you are someone who enjoys the country genre, check out the list of the top 10 country songs with week!
