Boys Lacrosse is an underlooked sport that while not as popular as Football or Basketball, is very fun to watch and to play.
Lacrosse is a very underappreciated sport and takes lots of practice, skill, and patience to perfect, and to master this sport.
So far, the varsity team is 5-6 through their first 9 contests. In their last 5 they lost 2 straight, but bounced back on Tuesday with a one sided win, 18-4 against Highlands Ranch High School. They then lost a close game against Chaparral 10-12 and lost against Mountain Vista, 19-2. Their last game was against Regis where they struggled and lost 0-16 Their next game is against Lutheran High School in Parker on Monday 5/1. Good luck to them.
5-8 is not the best record, but they can still comeback from it and hopefully the team can get back on track and will get some more wins against future opponents.
Something very unique about this lacrosse team is their determination and hard work. It seems that everyone on the team is always giving 100% and supporting one another. They are also very hopeful for this season and you can tell that by varsity player Hadden Spencer's(12) words on this.
“I have high hopes for our upcoming games and know that this season will be better than last year.”
Varsity player Hadden Spencer(12)
Though 5-7 is not the start this team was hoping for, it’s good to see they are still hopeful and determined for the rest of the season.
Hadden plays as a close defender on the varsity team.
This team has gone through a tough stretch but even the best teams at some point have a bad patch. Part of team success is overcoming adversity and keeping your head up.
It would be great to see a couple wins in the upcoming games to get the Grizzlies right back on track.
Hopefully they can stay persistent and keep on playing great games
Be sure to support the ThunderRidge Boys Lacrosse team in their upcoming games.
