The long-awaited Spring Break just happened, and it was a very-needed break for all the students. Whether you stayed at home or went somewhere for Spring Break, it was a nice fun relaxing week for everyone before they go back to school for the last quarter of the year.
Many people this year went out of town to enjoy their spring break. Sophia Gaynor (11) went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this year for Spring Break, “While I was there, I tanned, went swimming, went whale watching, and ate some good tacos at this amazing restaurant.” Titus Chance (11) went to Florida for a break and said it was a much needed break from school. “In Panama City, Florida my brother and mom got to walk on the beach, went into the ocean and got knocked out by the waves, and ate some good food from the restaurants near the ocean.” The beach is a great getaway to relax and get away from school for a week. Many others either went to the mountains, hung out with their friends, or just stayed home.
However, not all the trips for spring break were solely just for relaxing vacations. We had people go visit colleges for the week off. Ashely McGiillveay (11) went to Arizona to look at Northern Arizona University (NAU) and the University of Arizona (UOA). She said, “I really liked UA because of all the palm trees and they have a really nice Rec Center.” Lauren Ashley (11) also went out of town to visit a college, and she said, “I went to go look at Boise State, and I would say that was my favorite part of the trip because I really liked the campus.” There were a lot of wonderful colleges visiting this break for a short getaway.
This Spring Break flew past us faster than ever, but it was still comforting and fun for everyone. Whether you took a nice long beach vacation, or just slept in and rested yourself, people got to take a break away from stress and have a good time.
