My self potrait
The first step of the project making : tracing the outline. This step requires some outlining skills and needs patience.
The bueprint outline of my art. I will be using this for the cutting of facial features from the cardboard.
The final draft of the artwork, whereby I added the clothes and placed the pieces of cardboard together as well as added some details.
Reflections - Praise
I was hoping to do some sketching or painting for art lesson but it was to make a cardboard cut out of my own self portrait. Nevertheless, I presevered throught the lessons and went on with completing the artwork. It was not easy to cut out all the cardboard pieces nicely and neatly. When it came to assembling all the pieces together, I found it difficult to do so as it required a lot of patiences and skills. To be able to complete the artwork made me feel proud of myself that I could finish this piece of work. Although I faced some challenges on the way but I managed to overcome all of them through having resilience and persevered through.
Polish
If I were to redo this piece of artwork, I could try to make a more complicated hair style with different colored cardboard material to give the hair a more unique texture. I would try to make the cardboard clothinngs more eye-catching by implementing the use of colors with different types of cardboard. I would try to spend more time on adding on additional details like the holes on the buttons. Overall I would feel like I needed to put in more effort.
