Contour Outline of photograph:
I outlined the different parts of the photo. (highlights, shadows, etc.)
Blueprint of my contour drawing:
I traced out the contour drawing onto A4 paper using carbon paper. It came out off as I did it across the span of 2 different sessions.
Finished Face:
Used carbon paper to trace out my features. Cut and pasted them onto the backing. The lighting did not come out the way I thought it would.
Cardboard backing + shirt:
The shirt was rushed. I hate it.
Hair part 1:
I traced out the shape of the hair with carbon paper. Cutting it out was a pain. I traced out the details in corrugated cardboard by flipping it over and doing it on the other side. I eyeballed the other details.
Finished hair:
This took me around 1 and a half sessions. I could have been more efficient if I thought everything through beforehand.
Finished product:
This is the finished product. I don't like it.
Praise: At the start of the project, I thought that the finished product would turn out terrible as I knew I was going to run out of time as I always do. I am glad that it turned out a little bit better than what I expected. I enjoyed working on the hair the most. The details were fun to add. The facial features were relatively simple to do. The lighting was interesting to work on as well, it made certain parts of the face pop out more.
Polish: I could've planned out my time better. I would've had more time to work on the parts I wanted to work on. Given another opportunity, I would spend less time on the hair and more time on the shirt. I didn't plan out my time well enough and ended up having to rush the shirt. This meant that I couldn't add as many details on the shirt as I would've wanted to.
