Sec 2 students engage in a well-loved craft of using cardboard and discarded boxes. As many students may already be familiar with using recycled materials to build 3 dimensional models or prototypes in various projects, here they embrace the beautiful colour and textures that the cardboard provides. Paper and cardboard continue to makeup Singapore's largest pool of discarded (waste) materials. Let us turn this 'waste' material into beautiful relief sculptures of our own self-portraitures.

B) REFLECTIONS - Praise & Polish - 5 marks (10%)
PRAISE - Write one thing you could compliment yourself about your work. You can cite something tangible that have turned out positively from the outcome of the physical work. E.g. I thought it would be very difficult to cut the cardboard but I surprised myself by being able to cut the edges of the cardboard neatly, giving my overall work a very accomplished and aestheticallly pleasing look.
Or something you found in yourself, a quality, that has happened out of overcoming challenges. E.g. I have become more focused and disciplined during art lessons through ... I have learnt to become responsible to bring my things and complete my work on time... etc. (pls elaborate)
POLISH - Write one area of the work / process that you could have done better if given the opportunity/ if we were to repeat this project. Be specific. Do not cite general quality, e.g. I wish I could have worked faster, I wish I could have paid attention in class.
Write instead, e.g., given the opportunity, I could have tried a different textures by exploring using curling yellow coloured paper for a blonded permed hairstyle/ look.
