Original photo taken
This is the photo used as base for artwork.
2.Contour line of my photograph.
In this, some of the lines were too messy and so I had to neaten the lines just a little while keeping the whole thing still almost exactly the same.
3. Blueprint of contour drawing.
This was done with the carbon paper, with as many details such as the eyes as possible drawn onto the paper.
4.Face shape without hair
This is the face shape without the hair that was cut out with extra space to do the shirt of the artwork.
5. Face shape with shades
This is a more detailed version of the face shape with some shades that I added and small parts for the whites of the eyes.
6. Shirt (Unfinished)
This the the shirt with relatively few details. I was interested in adding even more. And so I did.
7. Face with hair
This is the face with the hair velcroed onto it.
8. Final shirt
This is the final shirt with the most details that I could fit onto it in a limited time. Had to borrow materials for pocketwatch and flower.
9. First draft of full
This is the shirt, hair and face put together. This has little details compared to the last one.
10. Final draft full
This is the shirt, hair and face together. It's hard to see but I added my initials to the tie.
Praise- I would praise the final shirt that I completed. I think it has a decent amount of detail and effort put into it. It has a pocket watch, a flower, a pocket, a tie, and a small pin that was meant to be in the shape of a four leaf clover. It started off with just adding a tie but I had time and materials so I added the pocket. Then I got bored so I added the buttons behind the tie. Then I realised I could add more and so I started adding more and more until I ran out of materials. Then I borrowed some materials to make the final flower. And the pocketwatch. I would have added roman numerals to the pocketwatch but time prevented me from doing so. I added several little details to the shirt, such as my initials on my tie, the little silver hands of the pocket watch which has a shiny blue backing. I also added a little piece of cardboard to make the shirt pop out a little for the shirt to look 3D. There is also a small dot at the back of the collar for the little pin there. There's also a little piece of cardboard behind the tie, since ties normally have that little bit of cloth behind the main part that everyone sees.
Polish- Given more time and materials, I would probably add more details to the shirt. I might also make an entirely new shirt, or make a blazer or vest sort of thing to go with the shirt. I might also go for a bow tie as an added detail for the shirt. I might also experiment with different types of glasses. Or perhaps a different designs on the tie of the shirt. Mainly because I find the shirt fun to do. I would absolutely do another shirt given time and materials. I find it fun. I would probably try to find a different type of shirt or maybe a coat as inspiration do just do another fun shirt. I would also absolutely add more details to the pocket watch, perhaps a design like some dragon or a small flower garden into the face of the pocket watch before I stuck on the hands. A monocle would be fun to do, with a little chain hanging down.
