MY SELF PORTRAIT
I outlined my facial features and added more depth to my eyes, cheek and chin. This way when I'm going to use the cardboard to make my face, there will be a template for me to trace over.
I traced over the outlines of my outline drawing onto a drawing block with a carbon paper, i accidentally traced the collar of my shirt thinking that i had to darw it.
I traced my facial features on a cardboard using the carbon paper, making sure that every facial feature is not overlapped with the others.
I cut out my face which I had previously drawn, I also drew my facial features of my face on my drawing so that it will be easier for me to paste my cardboard facial features on the face.
I pasted all my facial features on my face and gave it more depth by adding more cardboard on the feature. I also added some white cardboard to my cheeks, chin and lips to brighten up my face. I also make my eyeballs black to colour it.
I make my shirt with the inspiration of a qipao, at first I just wanted my shirt to be white, but I changed my mind as I wanted it to have more designs, hence I added the cool red designs. The designs were cut out from a Korean cookie snack which has a really unique design.
I added a head backing to my head such that my hair would be able stay.
I cut out bits and pieces of cardboard to stick it onto my hair frame so that it will create more depth.
I marked out the glasses out of the cardboard and cut it out

My artistic skills are evident in the way I've skillfully highlighted this aspect, giving my portrait depth and personality. I poured a lot of thought and effort into creating this artwork, and I'm incredibly proud of the stunning result. I also gave myself glasses and added highlights to my cheek, lips and chin. I'll continue to nurture my creativity and keep producing artwork that reflects my unique perspective and style.
Polish : I feel like my protrait does not look excalty like me. To make my self-portrait resemble me more accurately, I realize there are several areas I need to work on. First, I need to study my facial features more closely, paying attention to the specific shapes and proportions of my eyes, nose, lips, and overall facial structure. Furthermore, I could seeking feedback from my friends or teachers. I understand that improving my self-portrait's likeness is a gradual journey, and I'm committed to being patient and persistent in my artistic pursuits.
