Hello Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
Thank you for making the time to join us for Back to School Night. If your schedule would not allow you to attend, you can find the link to my presentation at the bottom of the Wilmot Weekly, as well as links to the Parent Rights in School and Parent/Guardian Concern Flow Chart. Please reach out if you have additional questions or concerns.
This upcoming week is going to be fun! We are having a spirit week leading up to our Bandana Day school carnival on Friday. Tuesday is PJ day, Wednesday is Wilmot wear, Thursday is sports jersey day, and Friday is western wear day. In addition, the PTA will be selling bandanas for $1 before and after school each day. Bandana Day has been an annual tradition at Wilmot for over 50 years! Past and present Wilmot families and community members join in the fun of the carnival games, food trucks, and chalk art contest each year. Please scroll down to learn more about how to get your tickets. We can’t wait to see you there!
We are also gearing up for Field Day happening on Friday, September 12th. If you are available to volunteer to help with set up, run a game, or help with clean up, please follow the link further down in the Weekly. You do not need to fill out a POI form to volunteer at Field Day. Please see the information below regarding Guest Management to access forms for chaperoning a field trip and learn more about the Raptor system. Thank you for taking these extra steps to help us keep all of our children safe!
Please take a few minutes to scroll through the rest of the Parent Wilmot Weekly to learn more about fun activities at Wilmot and around town.
Thank you in advance for your support!

Hello Wilmot Families,
Your 25-26 Wilmot Fees have been applied for the current school year. Field trip fees will be added as trips are scheduled throughout the year. Statements went out via email. Please review your student accounts at the following Infinite Campus link: https://campus.jeffco.k12.co.us/campus/portal/parents/Jeffco_IC.jsp
The Infinite Campus App is also very helpful for families to view items and pay fees. Here is a tutorial on how to upload the Jeffco Infinite Campus App.
To pay fees: After you sign in you may see a "Fees" in the first group of options, ignore it and continue to More>Quick Links>Jeffco Student Fee Payment.
To pay fees as guest: In the bottom right section on this page is an option to pay student fees as a guest if you do not have an account. You will need the student ID and last name to do so.
If fees are left from a prior year, it will read as "fine". It's still just the original amount of the fee. No interest has been added.
If there is a credit on your account, click that line to apply it against the fees being paid.
If the fee name starts with OPT, the fee is optional. If the fee is not paid, it will automatically drop from the account by the end of the year.
If your student is approved for Free and Reduced Lunch, fees will be waived once you provide current paperwork. Apply HERE
Please reach out with any questions you may have at carly.allen@jeffco.k12.co.us
Thank you,

📣 Calling All Passionate People! 📣
Our students love learning how the world works—and we need YOUR help to show them how math, reading, writing, and other skills connect to real-life passions and careers!
We’re looking for local experts and enthusiasts who would love to share their knowledge with curious elementary students at an event on September 11th. Do you…
🦎 Study animals as a zoologist?
🌍 Explore the earth as a scientist or geologist?
🚵 Love mountain biking or rock climbing?
🎬 Create films, animations, or video games?
⚽ Coach sports?
👗 Design fashion?
💻 Code and build technology?
Or do you have another passion you’d like to share?
Students are eager to hear how the things they’re learning in school are the same tools you use in your work and hobbies. Some students will even create a year-long passion project from the inspiration they gain from these interactions! If you’d like to inspire the next generation of explorers, creators, and thinkers, we’d love to hear from you!
Email Mrs. Marcus at emarcus@jeffco.k12.co.us if you’re interested in joining us this year!
The event is from 8-9:45am on Thursday, September 11, at Wilmot Elementary.
We are excited to introduce our new guest management system, Raptor. Please take a moment to read through the Raptor Welcome letter above.
What this means for visiting Wilmot:
ALL visitors who plan to enter the building past the office area will be required to sign into the Raptor system.
Please bring your photo ID in order to check in. You will scan it into Raptor and be issued a visitor's badge prior to entering the school. Visitors may also download the Raptor app and gain entry using their personal QR code from the app. Raptor App Directions
If you plan to chaperone a field trip and take a group of students with you, or drive students, you will need to complete the POI process as well. The POI clearance is for one school year only and has been re-set by the district over the summer. All chaperones will need to complete a new POI process for the 25-26 school year. Paperwork and the $17 processing fee should be brought to Mrs. Allen in the main office. Please see the two required forms below.

The Wilmot community works together to ensure high levels of learning for all. This includes not only being attentive to academic growth but also recognizing that the social and emotional growth of students is critically important. Current research indicates a direct connection between students’ emotional well-being and their academic performance. We are dedicated to creating academic and social-emotional support linked directly to the assessed needs of our students. We now have the opportunity to systematically screen the social and emotional skills of all our students. We will be using the Social Skills Improvement System™ Social-Emotional Learning Edition Screening/Progress Monitoring Scales (SSIS SEL) to screen students' social-emotional competencies.
SSIS SEL Information: The SSIS SEL Edition Screening/Progress Monitoring Scales is a strength-based tool for screening and progress monitoring social and emotional competence. Teachers will be asked to score each student in their class in the five following areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.
Screening Windows: There are two scheduled screening windows for the 2025-2026 school year: September 16, 2025 thru October 7, 2025 and January 5, 2026 thru January 30, 2026. There will be an additional optional window at the end of the school year for Preschool and Fifth grade students to assist with transitions
If you would like to opt your child out, please complete this form and return it to your child’s teacher.
