Autism Acceptance Month
Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and enjoying the weekend. If you missed the message I sent on Friday, Wilmot is currently in outbreak status for a gastrointestinal illness. The number of confirmed cases of vomiting and diarrhea means that we must follow Jefferson County Public Health regulations for how soon students can return to school. Students may only return to school 72 hours after the last occurrence of vomiting or diarrhea. If a student returns prior to this time frame, we are required to send them home. I know that feels like a long time and we really appreciate your cooperation to help us stop the spread of this highly contagious illness.
Thank you to the many parents who answered the call for Watch Cats in the morning and afternoon! It makes such a difference when we have another adult ensuring the parking lot is safe while we welcome students in the morning or help them get safely and efficiently into cars during dismissal. Using the access code Wildcats, please follow these links to the April and May calendars to sign up for even one shift.
This week we have music performances on Thursday and a professional development day for teachers/no school for students on Friday, April 25th. The following Monday, April 28th, is our final assessment day. Using this link, Student Assessment Day Sign-up, please indicate which 2-hour block of time your child will attend. There is no bus or meal service on this day so please ensure your child has eaten breakfast or lunch and brings a snack. In addition, as I shared last week, we appreciate your support in ensuring all students remain at school for the entire 2-hour block and ask that you avoid early pick-ups.
Thank you for being a part of the Wilmot Wildcats family! I look forward to seeing you at school this week.

Principal, Wilmot Elementary

The 1st Day School Supply Shop for 2025-2026 school year is ready.
Here is the link where parents can purchase their back to school supply boxes for the 2025-2026 school year: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/gs/19861
This is a one stop shop for all the needed school supplies (except teacher wish list items). A portion of each kit sold goes back to the PTA. Last year this effort raised a total of $518.80 back to the PTA so it's a great way to get your school supplies bought all at once and contribute to PTA fundraising efforts.

Do you plan to volunteer at Wilmot, chaperone one of our filed trips, and/or be a guest reader? Please take a moment to fill out the Jeffco Person of Interest and Disclosure forms below.
Both forms can be returned to Mrs. Allen in the main office. We also ask parents to please consider paying the $17.50 cost we incur for the background check.
If parents have completed a background check with other organizations, they may provide the office with those results instead of going through the POI process.
Conifer High School invites all families to attend the SCREENAGERS movie on April 24th @ 5:30pm. SCREENAGERS is an award-winning film that explores the impact of screen technology on kids, and offers parents and families proven solutions that work. Small group discussions about the movie and the book The Anxious Generation will follow. The National Honor Society will provide childcare for parents.
Round 2 of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 school year opened Thursday, January 23rd. Initial Round 1 lottery results were sent to families last week. Please reach out to the main office with any questions you have about enrollment for next year.
Visit www.enrolljeffco.org to let us know that you’re coming back for the 2025-26 school year. The earlier we know, the easier it is for the district to provide our school with all the tools and resources we need to provide a thriving experience for our students.
