Our New Mascot- Thanks PTA!
Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
The Fun Run went really well in spite of the chilly temperatures on Friday! Thank you to all of the parents who were able to come hand out bracelets and cheer kids on while they were running AND thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, extended family members, and friends who are donating on behalf of their student. Your donations are put to good use for classroom materials, updating technology (student Chromebooks, Mimio Boards for classrooms, teacher laptops), scholarships for students to participate in clubs, teacher appreciation efforts, and many other items. Our PTA truly makes a huge difference in the experience of our Wilmot students and in helping support our dedicated Wilmot staff! Fun Run donations are due by this Friday, 10/13.
This week our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are heading out of the building for field trips. Third graders are spending the Day in Denver, 4th graders to Adventure Point, and 5th graders to Young Ameritowne. When I talk to kids around 5th grade continuation, they often mention that these are the most memorable field trips of their elementary school career.
Parent teacher conferences are coming up next week (10-16-10/19) so please use this link: Conference Sign-up to make an appointment with your child’s teacher. The sign up starts with preschool and goes up by grade levels. The schedules vary a bit by teacher. If none of the times listed work for you, please reach out to your child’s teacher to make a different arrangement. On Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we are also having the pumpkin patch after school on the field. Thursday the 19th is the first day of fall break for students and a workday for teachers. Some teachers are offering more conference times that morning and then staff will be engaged in professional learning in the afternoon. Everyone will be off for fall break on Friday, October 20th.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at school!

Hello Wilmot Family! This is Mrs Mihailk from your kiddos STEM classes. Here are some fun things to do as a family with the eclipse coming up. Have so much fun!
Introducing Student Insights
Last spring we introduced School Insights, a web-based resource that offers information about Jeffco schools to help you stay informed and engaged in school quality and improvement efforts. Now, we’re excited to share the new Student Insights, which provides information about each student’s learning progress.
Student Insights makes it easy to access information about each student’s district and state tests and their individual learning plan goals. It is a helpful way to check in on learning progress, review academic goals, and identify issues to talk about with teachers.
Student Insights is confidential and may only be accessed by Jeffco students and their parents or guardians using the log-in name and password you use for other district tools, such as Infinite Campus.
You can learn more by watching this short video, reading the Frequently Asked Questions, or by talking with your student’s teacher or the school principal. Please check out this new resource and let us know what you think!
The 2023 Fun Run was an amazing day of fun. Thank you to everyone that showed up to donate their time and funds! If you didn't get an opportunity to donate yet, there is still time!
All donations will be due this Friday, October 13th.
