Hello Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
Days like this are one of the many reasons I love Colorado - the sun shining in a bright blue sky with snow on the ground! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day as well! This week at Wilmot we have the Spelling Bee for grades 3-5 on Monday in the gym. The winners will go on to compete at the mountain area bee on February 2nd.
On Tuesday, January 24th, please join me at Conifer High School for the Mountain Area Safety meeting from 6:00-7:30. For more information please see the flyer below. This is a great opportunity to hear how our Jeffco Safety and Security team works with local agencies to address some of the unique challenges schools and residents in the mountains face including response time and wildfire preparedness.
If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to fill out the Parent Survey from PTA. I also want to take this opportunity to highlight some of the information available through the Important Links section at the bottom of the Parent Wilmot Weekly. There are links to the parent portal, school cafe, and Wilmot Family Calendar, as well as information about Parent Rights in schools, what to do if you have a concern, and safety and security information.
Thank you for your partnership!
Stephany Fritz

The Wilmot Community Action Team will be sponsoring a fundraiser for Mercy Chefs from January 9 - February 3. Since 2006, this organization has traveled to places that have been devastated by storms all over the country, and all over the world. They are even supporting people in Ukraine. They feed thousands of people at a time from their food trucks. They provide hot, satisfying meals to those who have lost everything. They also have many community kitchens in areas where people need support. In addition, they work to feed the 1 in 4 children in the USA who do not have enough to eat due to food insecurity issues.
