Spring Dance
Hello Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
Welcome to the last week of school! This will be my last Wilmot Weekly until August . Tomorrow we will have our last Den Group meetings, the rescheduled 3rd grade field trip, first grade performances, and a make-up for the last mileage club that was rained out last Thursday. On Tuesday or Wednesday of this week we also have the mile run for all kindergarten through 5th grade classes. Please send your child with running shoes, a water bottle and some sunscreen. Later this week, there are continuation celebrations for preschool, kindergarten, and 5th grade. Please check the calendar at the bottom of the Weekly for exact times and places. Please note that dismissal on Friday is at 1:00 so buses will be running 2 ½ hours early.
The district is providing summer access to a program called Map Accelerator for students who are currently in second grade or higher next school year. Please see this flyer for more information: MAP Accelerator Parent Info. There are some instances when your child should take their device home over the summer:
You would like your child to access Map Accelerator over the summer.
Your child is attending Jeffco Summer of Early Learning (JSEL).
Your child is a 5th grader that will attend 6th grade in a Jeffco School.
There are also several instances when your child should leave their device at school for the summer:
Your child is leaving Jeffco Public Schools.
Your child is too young to access Map Accelerator or has another device where they can access the program so their school device is not needed.
You prefer that they don’t have access to their device over the summer.
Given that it is the last week of school, please take a few minutes to check around your house for library books and return them before Friday. In addition, Band and Orchestra has wrapped up for the school year so we want to be sure students take their instrument home for the summer.
There is tons of information about summer opportunities and reminders for next year in this week’s edition of the Wilmot Weekly so please be sure to scroll down to check it out!
I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing Wilmot community! My next message will be on Sunday, August 6th in preparation for the start of the 23-24 school year on August 15th. Best wishes to you and your family for a fun-filled relaxing summer!
Sincerely,
Stephany Fritz

About The Project: “Building community through baseball".
Community Connectivity:
Project benefits broader community by giving us more playable fields
Gives Wilmot students a green space opportunity for outdoor play.
Formalizes the trail connecting Evergreen High School and Wilmot Elementary.
Utilization of a 4-field baseball/softball complex in central Evergreen improves the distances needed to drive for south side athletes, and centralizes WJBB activities
4 fields would allow for potential tournament hosting as parking is also adequate.
Calling all Watch Dogs! As we near the end of the school year, we are in need of additional watch dog help. Please consider signing up for one of the watch dog time slots available these last couple of weeks!
