Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
I hope you're enjoying this beautiful spring weekend. We ended last week on a high note with the Colorado Characters presentations and the Wilmot Warblers concert. Once again, the creativity and perseverance of our students and the commitment of our teachers really shined through! For the next several weeks we will be enjoying more musical performances with the grade level music showcases. On Wednesday, April 16th our kindergarten through second grade students will be performing in the evening. Please see below for more information about the days and times of the music performances.
4th Grade Colorado Characters
CMAS testing continues this upcoming week for our 3rd through 5th graders. Thank you for ensuring your child gets a good night’s rest, arrives at school on time, and for avoiding unnecessary absences.
Looking a little further ahead, please note that Friday, April 25th is a professional development day for teachers. The following Monday, April 28th, is our final assessment day. Using this link, Student Assessment Day Sign-up, please indicate which 2- block of time your child will attend. There is no bus or meal service on this day so please ensure your child has eaten breakfast or lunch and brings a snack. In addition, as I shared last week, we appreciate your support in ensuring all students remain at school for the entire 2-hour block and ask that you avoid early pick-ups.
Thank you for being a part of the Wilmot Wildcats family! I look forward to seeing you at school this week.

Principal, Wilmot Elementary

Last Saturday Wilmot had two teams compete at the Colorado Destination Imagination State Tournament. This tournament included the top teams from regions all over Colorado. Both teams worked SO HARD during the school year to create incredible solutions to some pretty difficult challenges. Way to go Wilmot Wildcats!
They designed and built a transporter to carry weight along a cord at various angles and tested its strength during their Presentation. They also created and performed a story in the style of contemporary circus, incorporating a daring display and an ensemble spectacle.
They designed and built assembly equipment to create a stack of items and destruction equipment to destroy the stack. They also created and presented a story about a character who lacked something important and attempted to gain it.
Beautiful performance, Warblers!

Get quality sleep.
Eat a healthy breakfast.
Try to arrive at school on time. Exams begin at 8am and students will not be able to join the testing group once it has began.
There is one session per grade level/per day. The majority of sessions are AM, however 4th & 5th grade will have PM sessions on Tuesdays and Thurdays due to Band & Orchestra.
Band & Orchestra will held in the Wildcat Room upstairs and/or the Music Room this week.
Please try to avoid scheduling appointments, as it is very difficult to remove students from assessments once they have started.
Thank you for all of your help and understanding.

The 1st Day School Supply Shop for 2025-2026 school year is ready.
Here is the link where parents can purchase their back to school supply boxes for the 2025-2026 school year: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/gs/19861
This is a one stop shop for all the needed school supplies (except teacher wish list items). A portion of each kit sold goes back to the PTA. Last year this effort raised a total of $518.80 back to the PTA so it's a great way to get your school supplies bought all at once and contribute to PTA fundraising efforts.

Do you plan to volunteer at Wilmot, chaperone one of our filed trips, and/or be a guest reader? Please take a moment to fill out the Jeffco Person of Interest and Disclosure forms below.
Both forms can be returned to Mrs. Allen in the main office. We also ask parents to please consider paying the $17.50 cost we incur for the background check.
If parents have completed a background check with other organizations, they may provide the office with those results instead of going through the POI process.
Conifer High School invites all families to attend the SCREENAGERS movie on April 24th @ 5:30pm. SCREENAGERS is an award-winning film that explores the impact of screen technology on kids, and offers parents and families proven solutions that work. Small group discussions about the movie and the book The Anxious Generation will follow. The National Honor Society will provide childcare for parents.
This is a fun, family friendly event that starts at 6pm with casual food, a silent auction, games and a team store in the first hour. At 7, we will gather in the EHS auditorium for a short film and trivia (kahoot style). It's a fun,low key night designed to raise money for our team. We also help support a non-profit community biking project in the Navajo Nation (Gallup NM) called Silver Stallions https://silverstallion.org/. So, this is a feel good event all the way around:)
Tickets can be purchased through a link on our website http://www.evergreenhsmtb.com/film-fest.html
Round 2 of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 school year opened Thursday, January 23rd. Initial Round 1 lottery results were sent to families last week. Please reach out to the main office with any questions you have about enrollment for next year.
Visit www.enrolljeffco.org to let us know that you’re coming back for the 2025-26 school year. The earlier we know, the easier it is for the district to provide our school with all the tools and resources we need to provide a thriving experience for our students.
