Preschool Fire Prevention
Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and enjoying the weekend. Thank you for your continued support through this tough bout of gastrointestinal illness running through Wilmot. Adhering to the 72 hour exclusion period following the last symptom is essential for stopping the spread. Please see the Outbreak letter for a full list of symptoms and more details. While teachers were attending district professional development and students were out of the building on Friday, our custodial crew did a really deep clean and disinfection of the classrooms and shared spaces. Hopefully that, along with 72 hours of the building being largely empty, will set us all on the path to a healthy May!
We start this week with our final assessment day. If you haven’t already done so, please follow this link, Student Assessment Day Sign-up, to indicate which 2-hour block of time your child will attend. If you have a preschooler, this link will also allow you to reserve a conference time with your child’s teacher. Please note that there is no bus or meal service on Monday. Consequently, please ensure your child has eaten breakfast or lunch and brings a snack. We appreciate your support in ensuring all students remain at school for the entire 2-hour block and ask that you avoid early pick-ups. Also this week is the 5th grade AMPs showcase on Thursday evening and the Spring Dance on Friday! If you can jump in and help set up or decorate, please let PTA know through the links a little further down in the Weekly.
Thank you again to the many parents who answered the call for Watch Cats in the morning and afternoon! It makes such a difference when we have another adult ensuring the parking lot is safe while we welcome students in the morning or help them get safely and efficiently into cars during dismissal. Using the access code Wildcats, please follow these links to the April and May calendars to sign up for even one shift.
Thank you for being a part of the Wilmot Wildcats family! I look forward to seeing you at school this week.

The 1st Day School Supply Shop for 2025-2026 school year is ready.
Here is the link where parents can purchase their back to school supply boxes for the 2025-2026 school year: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/gs/19861
This is a one stop shop for all the needed school supplies (except teacher wish list items). A portion of each kit sold goes back to the PTA. Last year this effort raised a total of $518.80 back to the PTA so it's a great way to get your school supplies bought all at once and contribute to PTA fundraising efforts.

Do you plan to volunteer at Wilmot, chaperone one of our filed trips, and/or be a guest reader? Please take a moment to fill out the Jeffco Person of Interest and Disclosure forms below.
Both forms can be returned to Mrs. Allen in the main office. We also ask parents to please consider paying the $17.50 cost we incur for the background check.
If parents have completed a background check with other organizations, they may provide the office with those results instead of going through the POI process.
Round 2 of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 school year opened Thursday, January 23rd. Initial Round 1 lottery results were sent to families last week. Please reach out to the main office with any questions you have about enrollment for next year.
Visit www.enrolljeffco.org to let us know that you’re coming back for the 2025-26 school year. The earlier we know, the easier it is for the district to provide our school with all the tools and resources we need to provide a thriving experience for our students.
