Kinder High Fives
Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
I hope you are having a great holiday weekend! It was great to see a variety of parents and their children helping out as Watch Dogs at arrival or dismissal. Our mascot even made an appearance! If you are interested in being a Watch Dog, please see the information below.
For many years we've had the same message each morning on the announcements. This year we engaged a group of 5th graders in developing the first ever Wilmot Creed. While we still might make some tweaks, this is the message our 5th grade announcers will lead students and staff in saying each morning.
Please take a few minutes to peruse the online Wilmot Weekly to learn more about Student Insights, the process of applying for an Advanced Learning Plan, Art club opportunities, and upcoming events like Field Day and Bandana Day. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing you at school this week!

Hello Wilmot families. Please check out the link below for class updates and performance dates for the year with Music class.
Hello Warbler Families,
Our first rehearsal was a huge success and Holly and I are very excited for this upcoming year together. We currently have 66 members! Holly and I feel comfortable with that large number but there are some rehearsals throughout the year when we will be leading choir alone. I am part time this year so on Tuesdays that I am not at Wilmot Holly will be directing alone. There will also be days when our kiddos or we are sick. That being said, if there are any parent volunteers who are able to come to rehearsals to help out that would be great! You can email me back if you are available.
The Warblers will be performing the National Anthem at the Rockies game on September 17th @ 6:40pm. Please use the link below to order tickets. Attendance is not mandatory but highly encouraged (it's so much fun!). Please let me know if you plan NOT to attend. Thank you!
* You will need to order a ticket for your Warbler too!

Being a Part of the Wilmot Community - Volunteer Opportunities
PTA and overall Wilmot programming want to gauge how we can best set parents and caregivers up for success in learning more about special events and volunteering at Wilmot. We also would love to know where volunteer interest is focused (and where we might have gaps). Please fill out this quick form to help us set this year up for success.
The Wilmot community works together to ensure high levels of learning for all. This includes not only being attentive to academic growth, but also recognizing that the social and emotional growth of students is critically important. We will be using the Social Skills Improvement System™ Social-Emotional Learning Edition Screening/Progress Monitoring Scales (SSIS SEL) to screen students' social-emotional competencies. The SSIS SEL Edition Screening/Progress Monitoring Scales is a strength-based tool for screening and progress monitoring social and emotional competence. Teachers will be asked to score each student in their class in the five areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. Most students will be screened two times per year.
Calling all Watch DOGS, current and new! This year we will be continuing with our Watch DOGs competing in a fun and friendly competition to see who volunteers the most for each month and wins a PJ, stuffy party for their child/children or grandchild/grandchildren's classroom.
For those who are interested in joining Watch DOGs, love competitions, but most importantly want to win a classroom party please reach out to us at wilmotwatchdogs@gmail.com to be added to the signup emails.
If you are new to being a Watch Dog we have the paperwork here to get you started! All Watch Dog volunteers need to fill out the Person of Interest Form and Volunteer Disclosure Form. Please return completed forms to Mrs. Carly in the office or at carly.allen@jeffco.k12.co.us
If you missed our Back to School night last week, check out the link below to view Mrs. Fritz's presentation.

There is a new way for families to report their student's absence. Take a look at the provided link to the directions/explanation of this new tool. Please call the office if you have any questions.
The Campus Parent Absence Request Tool is a function within Infinite Campus (IC) that improves the reporting and processing of excused absences for both families and staff. Families will use Campus Parent to report same-day or upcoming absences easily. Absence reports will automatically be generated within IC and are easily reviewed and processed by office staff, saving significant time daily.
