Have a wonderful summer break!
Dear Wonderful Wilmot Parents,
I hope you’re having a great weekend! It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the last week of school. Please scroll down for several pieces of important information about events this week including field trips and continuation ceremonies for preschool, kindergarten, and 5th grade.
Jeffco Public Schools has directed all elementary schools to send Chromebooks home with each 1st grade through 5th grader over the summer. The goal is to ensure equitable access to online educational programs over the summer break. It is particularly important for students in the following situations to have access to their device:
They are on a READ plan and will take part in the online Jeffco Reads summer program.
They will access LEXIA reading program through the summer on their device. The district has provided access for all kindergarten through 3rd graders, and 4th & 5th graders who are on a READ plan. This program is accessible through the end of July from any device as long as your child has their login information.
They will access Zearn or other educational programs over the summer on their device.
We also understand that some parents would prefer their child not have their device at home for the summer. Please let us know your preference via this google form: Summer Technology Access.
While you are in the building this week, please take a moment to peruse the overflowing lost and found. All of the items that remain after the last day of school will be donated to charity. Fee statements were emailed to families on Friday. We kindly ask that parents pay any outstanding fees before the end of the week since all unpaid fees come directly out of Wilmot’s budget.
You may have noticed that the Buffalo Park Schoolhouse in the bus circle has not yet moved to its new home. There were some delays last week, but the new plan is to prepare the schoolhouse for the move tomorrow and then actually move it on Tuesday, May 20th. Please avoid parking in the bus loop on these two days so the movers have plenty of room to navigate the big vehicles required for the move.
This is my last communication for this school year. Best wishes for a wonderful summer full of memorable adventures and family time. Thank you for a great school year and for doing your part to make Wilmot such a warm and welcoming place.
Sincerely,
Stephany Fritz

The 1st Day School Supply Shop for 2025-2026 school year is ready.
Here is the link where parents can purchase their back to school supply boxes for the 2025-2026 school year: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/gs/19861
This is a one stop shop for all the needed school supplies (except teacher wish list items). A portion of each kit sold goes back to the PTA. Last year this effort raised a total of $518.80 back to the PTA so it's a great way to get your school supplies bought all at once and contribute to PTA fundraising efforts.
Our mountain community shares a resource document with families every year. This document includes links to many resources across our mountain community including Academic, Mental Health, Food Assistance and many more.
Colorado law requires students to receive a Tdap vaccine before their first day of sixth grade. 5th Grade families, please refer to this LETTER from the CO Department of Health outlining details and requirements.
Round 2 of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 school year opened Thursday, January 23rd. Initial Round 1 lottery results were sent to families last week. Please reach out to the main office with any questions you have about enrollment for next year.
