Next week, our school will be taking part in International Anti-Bullying Week, focusing on the theme of using your “Power for Good.”
This important week gives our pupils the opportunity to reflect on how their actions can make a positive difference in the lives of others. Pupils will be learning about the different types of bullying—physical, verbal, social, and online—as well as the various roles people may play in a bullying situation. They will discuss how to respond safely and effectively if they or someone they know is being bullied, and learn who they can talk to within the school for help and support.
To help bring these lessons to life, pupils will take part in a variety of activities designed to promote kindness, friendship, and respect. These will include creating a Friendship Chain, carrying out Random Acts of Kindness, and ending the week with Odd Sock Day, a fun celebration of individuality and inclusion. On this day, we invite all pupils to wear odd socks with their uniform to remind everyone that it’s cool to be kind and amazing to be different!
We look forward to an inspiring and positive week where every pupil is encouraged to use their power for good. Thank you, as always, for your continued support in helping us make our school a safe, caring, and inclusive place for everyone.
