As part of our ongoing January theme, ‘Positively DC’, Secondary House Captains have brought a meaningful message to life through a vibrant and inspiring mural titled “Be the ‘I' in Kindness.”
This collaborative project beautifully aligns with our kindness charter: “I understand that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and I commit to making this choice every day.”
Over two weeks, the captains worked tirelessly during their CCA sessions, combining their creativity and commitment to foster a spirit of positivity across the school. Beyond painting a mural, they also practised kindness in action by offering encouragement, support, and collaboration throughout the project.
The mural now serves as a daily reminder of the impact we can all have by choosing kindness, no matter how small the gesture. Each house’s contribution to this artwork reflects their dedication to making Doha College a more compassionate, supportive, and inclusive community.

Doha College loves to celebrate the kindness and compassion of our students, and Year 7 student William C has given us an inspiring story to share.
Over the past months, William has been on an extraordinary journey, growing his hair with a heartfelt mission: to support those battling cancer. His goal was to raise money for cancer support and donate his hair for wig-making, bringing hope and joy to individuals who have lost their hair during treatment.
This winter break, William fulfilled his promise and had his hair cut to support the Little Princess Trust in the UK, an organisation that provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to illness. In addition to donating his hair, William also raised an incredible £1,132.50 for the charity—a testament to his generosity and determination.
William’s journey began when he watched a video of a young girl dreaming of having a blonde wig after losing her hair to leukemia. Inspired by her story, he decided to grow his hair and contribute in any way he could.
William’s efforts highlight the power of compassion and selflessness, showing us all how a single individual can make a profound impact.
At Doha College, we celebrate his incredible achievement and hope that his story will inspire others to support meaningful causes.
