Thank you so much to all those of you who managed to make our welcome coffee morning on Wednesday. For any of you who were not able to attend, members of the senior team will be available every Wednesday in the Sports Cafe and parents are welcome to use the cafe at any time. In the coffee morning, I introduced Rashmi Arora (rarora@dohacollege.com) who would be interested to hear from any parents who would like to volunteer, help to raise funds for the school and for charity or who would like to be involved in organising social activities for parents and the community. Please do get involved if you are able to spare a little time.
In my welcome assemblies this week, I encouraged the pupils to focus on their academic curiosity and try to see links between the different subjects they are studying and beyond. The more they develop interests and passions, the more they will get from their learning, and, ultimately, the better they will do.
In ending my article this week, I wanted to say a final well done and good luck to our Class of 2025 as they head off to their chosen universities. The courses and institutions that our pupils are going to study in this year is our best ever - with over 90% of pupils heading to the UK going to one of the prestigious Russell Group Universities (including both Oxford and Cambridge) and more than 30 pupils going on to study medicine. This special year group is going to have a very special and positive impact on the world and we all look forward to seeing what they achieve.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
