This week has been a particularly special one in the PE department as we celebrated the achievements of our Year 6 BSME Team during a fantastic assembly. It was a real highlight of the week to see our BSME athletes take centre stage and share their journey to the BSME Games this year.
The assembly, led by the students, was nothing short of inspiring. With confidence and pride, they reflected on their experiences - highlighting the challenges they overcame, the sportsmanship they demonstrated, and the friendships they formed along the way. They also celebrated their impressive results and achievements, with a few awards and fun surprises to make the morning extra memorable! It was heartwarming to see how each student spoke so positively about their teammates, showing genuine care and camaraderie that made their shared experience even more special.
We were delighted to welcome many of our BSME parents, whose support throughout the lead-up to and during the games has been outstanding. Your encouragement, presence, and enthusiasm meant so much to the students and the PE staff alike. Thank you for being there to cheer on our students both in Dubai and during this week’s celebration.
What stood out most was the way our BSME athletes conducted themselves. They were true role models for our younger students - demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and school spirit throughout. Their passion and energy were infectious and left everyone feeling inspired, motivated, and excited for future sporting opportunities at Doha College.
The PE Team could not be prouder of this incredible group of students. They represented Doha College with honour and embody everything the PE Team works hard to instil within our learners through sport – resilience, dedication, respect, kindness, and sportsmanship. We know that this group of athletes will continue on this journey in secondary, inspiring others to get involved in sports and being role models within our Doha College community and beyond, carrying themselves with grace. We’re already looking ahead with excitement to selecting our new BSME team in the new academic year and continuing to build on this year’s success and legacy.
