Through classroom discussions, themed lunches, and fun activities, we’ll be highlighting the benefits of reducing meat consumption for both our health and the planet. Meat and dairy specifically accounts for around 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization, so even small changes in our diets can make a big difference. Whether your child is already a veggie-lover or just curious to try something new, Meatless May is a fantastic opportunity to learn, taste, and make mindful choices together. We’re also thrilled to announce a Meatless May Cooking Competition—a chance for budding chefs to show off their skills! More details will be shared soon, so stay tuned!
Here is a link to the fantastic Doha College Vegan and Vegetarian Cookbook. Our cookbook is packed with delicious, student-approved recipes! We encourage families to explore it and try recreating some of the amazing dishes at home.

As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we are marking Road Safety Awareness Week at Doha College — a timely reminder of the crucial role we all play in ensuring our school remains a safe environment for our children.
As parents, you are our valued partners in promoting a culture of safety. We kindly ask you to:
Use Designated Drop-off and Pick-up Points: Vehicles are to use authorised zones for pick-up and drop-off. Avoid stopping in undesignated areas or blocking access routes.
Adhere to Speed Limits and Follow Security Instructions: The safety team are there to assist — please be courteous and follow their directions, especially during peak times.
Avoid Distracted Driving: Stay off your phone while driving through school zones and always remain vigilant for crossing students.
Plan for Extra Time: Especially during busy mornings or special events. Rushing can lead to risky driving decisions.
Model Good Road Behaviour for Students: Remember, children watch and learn from us. Practicing road courtesy and patience teaches them lifelong safety habits.
Working Together for a Safer School
We have been actively working with external agencies, including Ashghal and traffic consultants, to explore long-term solutions for traffic management around our campus. In the meantime, your cooperation and vigilance remain vital in safeguarding our school community.
Let’s continue to make Doha College a model of responsibility and care — because every child’s safety matters.
Thank you for your support.
