It was an evening filled with pride and celebration as pupils from Year 7 to Year 13 were honoured for their academic excellence, personal growth, and contributions to school life. Loud applause and cheers filled the ballroom as each recipient took to the stage, marking a well-deserved moment of recognition for their dedication and accomplishments throughout the academic year.
This event not only highlighted the hard work and resilience of our pupils but also showcased the supportive spirit of our wider school community. Parents, teachers, and peers all joined in celebrating the outstanding efforts and successes of our students.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients – your achievements continue to inspire, and we look forward to seeing what you will accomplish next.

Congratulations once again to the Class of 2025 – your journey is just beginning, and we are excited to see where your talents and ambitions will take you next.
The Junior Duke Award is structured across ten progressive levels, each tailored to a specific year group. Through these levels, students will be encouraged to take on a variety of engaging challenges, from First Aid, ICT, and Eco Awareness to Drama, Music, Sport, and practical life skills such as cookery and basic repairs. By completing these challenges, students not only build confidence and resilience, but also learn the value of supporting those around them and making a difference beyond the classroom. We will introduce this to Years 7 and 8 from September.
The Junior Duke program serves as an ideal stepping stone to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, providing secondary pupils with the foundational skills and mindset needed for success in the full program. By introducing the programme in both primary and secondary, we ensure a smooth transition for Year 7 students, helping them feel confident and prepared as they move up through the school. This continuity supports students in developing resilience, independence, and a strong sense of community responsibility from an early age, making their journey through secondary education even more rewarding.
While some skills will be introduced at school, many of the challenges are designed to be completed with the support of family and friends outside the classroom. This approach not only reinforces learning but also encourages valuable family engagement.
Upon completion of each level, students will be awarded a certificate and badge in recognition of their hard work and perseverance within the academic year.
We look forward to giving you more information at the start of the next academic year.
