Both our Primary and Secondary School pupils were in action throughout the week and Mr Watson and I were delighted to see so many of our respective running clubs taking part. It was particularly rewarding to see how well our pupils performed with both our Primary and Secondary squads coming out clear winners in their respective competitions. In fact, almost all races I watched were won by someone from Doha College, and, considering there were more than twenty schools taking part, this is a considerable achievement.
A huge well done to all involved.
Finally,
We are immensely proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Doha College alumna and former Head Girl, Arwa (Class of 2024), on her election as President of the Oxford Union, one of the world’s most renowned and historic debating societies.
She follows in some illustrious footsteps, including numerous world leaders such as William Gladstone, H. H. Asquith and Benazir Bhutto.
Arwa’s achievement is a powerful testament to the Doha College ethos, 'For pupils, not for profit' and the environment we create for young people to think critically, pursue their ambitions confidently and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
