As the first term of the academic year comes to a close, sport has come to the fore within College. On Sunday, I very much enjoyed attending the Under 12 and Under 13s boys’ football team taking on Kings College Taunton (Doha).
Our Under 12s put in an absolutely majestic performance winning 10-2, with our Under 13s controlling their match from start to finish and also winning by a narrower margin of 3-2. On the same day our Under 19 girls’ football team beat Sherborne Qatar 2-1 in an away fixture. On Monday, we hosted the Swiss International School and Sherborne Qatar for the Under 13 girls’ netball and Under 16 boys’ football respectively.
In the netball, DC triumphed 33-3 and in the football the boys won 3-2. On Tuesday, I was delighted to attend the interschool cross country competition at Oxygen Park to support pupils in Years 3-6 inclusive, with Doha College coming in first place overall as well as receiving a large number of outstanding first, second and third place finishes.
A huge congratulations to all the pupils and teachers involved.
Have a wonderful holiday everyone and I look forward to seeing you in the new year.
