This week in College we were able to celebrate those students who achieved Outstanding Learner Awards (gaining the top result in an examination subject in the country, region or world) and/or High Achiever Awards (gaining a top result across a number of subject disciplines). Our students received the second highest number of High Achiever Awards of any school in the world and the highest number of Outstanding Learner Awards of any school in the world. This included numerous best in world performances.
These outcomes really are a testament to the excellent work of our pupils and teachers and underlines the world class performances that they are collectively delivering.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

On Sunday, 15th December, Doha College will celebrate International Day. All pupils, in Primary and Secondary, are invited to wear traditional dress or country colours and share traditional foods from their country with their classmates.
As per school policy, absolutely no nuts, nor nut products can be brought onto campus. Please ensure that all ingredients (whether homemade or shop bought) are listed in English. Primary pupils and parents will be invited to a class picnic, during either Period 1 or Period 6 following a costume parade. Secondary pupils will share this with their morning tutor groups.
Throughout the rest of the day, there will be performances, cultural activities, country stalls, costume parades and more!
If you would like to perform or are able to offer a workshop (art, dance, music or otherwise), please get in touch with Miss Hesketh or Miss Rattray at dei@dohacollege.com

This week we had the pleasure of enjoying the Primary Winter Concert. It was a joy to see so many of you in the audience, supporting our young performers as they showcased their remarkable talents.
The concert was a true celebration of the hard work, dedication, and passion that our students have poured into their music over the past term. From the opening note of our Junior Orchestra to the final applause for our Year 4-6 Choir, the evening was filled with moments of joy and inspiration. Our young soloists impressed us all with their confidence and skill, each performance a testament to their commitment and hours of practice. Both of the choirs reminded us of the DC spirit with harmonies that warmed every heart in the room. And what can we say about the orchestra? Their ensemble playing was both precise and moving, an incredible achievement for such a young group of musicians.
Behind every performance is a story of perseverance and collaboration. Our music teachers have worked tirelessly to guide and encourage the students, instilling in them a love of music and a belief in their abilities. Parents, your support at home, whether through encouraging practice or simply celebrating their achievements, is a vital part of every child’s success.
As the concert drew to a close with a surprise community ‘sing along’, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of pride. Moments like these remind us of the power of the arts to bring our community together, to celebrate individuality, and to foster a collective spirit. They also remind us of how special our children, community and school are.
Thank you for joining us for this special event. Your applause, smiles, and words of encouragement were greatly valued by our students and staff.

We recently held a highly successful online parents’ evening for Year 7 using the new School's Buddy system, and we are delighted to report it was very well attended.
The evening provided a valuable opportunity for teachers and parents to connect, discuss progress, and celebrate the many achievements of our Year 7 students so far. Both parents and teachers shared positive feedback on the ease of use of the new system, which enabled smooth scheduling and meaningful conversations.
It was inspiring to hear about the great strides Year 7 students have made in their first half term, transitioning well into secondary school and showing enthusiasm in all areas of learning. Thank you to all who joined, and we look forward to building on this strong start.
