I am very excited to announce the launch of three new parent volunteer groups, designed to help bring our community even closer together. These groups offer a wonderful opportunity for parents to contribute their time, skills, and enthusiasm – and we would love as many of you as possible to get involved.
DC Volunteer
This group will bring together parents who are keen to support a wide range of College activities and events. Volunteers might assist with:
Primary or Secondary Parents Event Group
Curriculum enrichment (e.g. contributing to the CCA programme, sharing expertise at Aspirations Evening or offering work experience placements)
Creative support for drama productions (e.g. set and costume design)
Helping at College-wide celebrations such as Spring Festival, International Day, St George’s Day and Qatar National Day
Whatever your interest or availability, there are opportunities to get involved and make a difference.
DC Fundraising
This group will focus on supporting the College’s fundraising initiatives, helping to raise money for both College projects and charitable causes. This could include:
Organising or running nearly new uniform sales, bake sales, tuck shops or ice cream stalls
Supporting events at sports fixtures and other school gatherings
Helping to share updates with the wider community about the impact of funds raised
Even a small contribution of your time can help generate a big impact.
DC Social
This group will help to shape a calendar of enjoyable and inclusive social events for both parents and pupils. Possible activities include:
Welcoming and supporting new families joining the College
Organising parent socials, quizzes, book clubs, sports groups, and arts-based activities
Coordinating cultural and community events that reflect the richness and diversity of our school
This group will also work to ensure that all cultural and religious backgrounds are represented and supported, helping every family to feel part of our vibrant community. These three groups will replace the Friends of Doha College. I would like to thank all those who have volunteered their time during FDC's operation.
If you are interested in volunteering for any of these groups – whether as a regular supporter or just for specific events – please do get in touch. Your involvement, no matter how big or small, will help to make our school community stronger, more connected, and even more dynamic.
To register your interest, please contact our Development, Alumni and Events Manager, Rashmi, at rarora@dohacollege.com.
Together, we can continue to build something truly special!

Whether trekking through scenic landscapes, exploring world heritage sites, or participating in international competitions, our pupils will return with broadened horizons and increased confidence.
