The global reach of British education was reinforced recently by the publication of a report into which institutions educate those individuals who go on to be world leaders. 

Research by Jisc (see here) has found that the highest number of current world leaders (50) are educated in British universities with US institutions in second place with 41. No other national system has been responsible for educating more than 15 current world leaders. The individual institution that tops the list is the University of Oxford which has educated 36 world leaders since 1990.
