The newsletter enables us to streamline important communications and it helps reduce the number of messages we send out. However, for this to be effective, we need to ensure that as many parents as possible are reading the newsletter on a weekly basis. As with any area of College life, if you have any comments or feedback on the newsletter, please do not hesitate to send these through.
In other exciting news this week, we are delighted to be able to publish our new Strategic Plan, which, over the course of the next eighteen months, targets further developing Doha College from a regional centre of excellence to the leading British International School. The creation of this plan has involved all members of our community, and we are very excited about this next stage of the College’s development.
The plan is available here.
I hope you all have a wonderful half-term break.

As we come to the end of this half term, we would like to remind you of the uniform expectations to ensure that all students are equipped with the necessary attire and aware of the expectations for our PE and games classes. Below you will find a document outlining the required PE uniform and the standards we uphold during our sessions. We'd like to remind all students to follow the dress code specified in the document, as it promotes safety, comfort, and inclusivity for all participants. Additionally, we encourage parents to review the expectations with their children to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. If your son or daughter is missing any DC PE kit, please take the time over the half term to replace these.
I appreciate your cooperation, and we hope you have a great half-term.

This year, the theme was ‘A Future To Be Proud Of’. We ran this in school as a house competition to decide which poems we would put forward to the competition. The two students whose poems were submitted to the COBIS competition were Shri Natesha 7XT and Maryam Haddad 13C.
Shri’s poem was a beautiful ode to the positive power of humans coming together to end the suffering of the earth and, by extension, the population.
Maryam submitted a skilful image of a peaceful world. Her writing is evocative and masterfully encapsulates the horrors that people are living through, but she manages to focus on a positive future for all.
