As we reach the end of this half term, I would like to start this week’s newsletter with a huge thank you to all members of our wider community who were able to join us at last weekend’s Spring Festival. I am sure that you will all agree that it was a wonderful event, and with almost 2,000 people attending it was almost certainly the largest community event we have held since the opening of our new campus. As you will appreciate, the event simply would not have been possible without the hard work of a huge number of people - most notably Rashmi, our Development, Alumni and Events Officer - but also all the staff members who volunteered to help and run stalls - including the music and Mockingbird teams who coordinated the phenomenal performances, the EVO team for manning the sports stalls, the Art Department for running the face painting and our Business and Economics team for coordinating the innovative student enterprise stalls.

Performing arts have really come to the fore this final week of the half term and I have greatly enjoyed attending the Night at the Musicals performances, where the talent and commitment on display has been simply breathtaking. My huge thanks to all involved - the Drama team, students on stage, those who helped behind the scenes and the Charity Committee for providing refreshments. Looking forward to the next half term, we will be hosting the annual Qatar Schools Choir of the Year (QSCoY) competition at the end of February, which promises to be another fantastic event with more than 20 schools taking part.
One final thank you to all those of you who attended and organised the Primary School Sports Days - it has been wonderful to see how much the children have got out of these special events.
Have a fabulous half term everyone.
