This week marks Digital Safety and Well-being Week, with a focus on the 2025 Global Internet Safer topic: Too Good to Be True – Protecting Yourself and Others from Scams Online.
Throughout this week, students have engaged in a variety of activities, discussions, and assemblies designed to raise awareness about online scams and how to stay safe in the digital world. By learning how to spot suspicious online behaviour, students have gained valuable skills in protecting themselves and others from falling victim to scams. The week's aim was to reinforce the importance of being responsible digital citizens and staying informed about the risks we face online, empowering students to make safer, smarter decisions in the digital space.
The Digital Committee has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this week’s Digital Safety and Well-being activities to life for our students. Their hard work reflects their commitment to empowering students to be responsible digital citizens and to help protect them from online risks. A big thank you to the Digital Committee for their passion and effort in making this week a success!Thank you to Al Tamimi law firm and Matthew Heaton / Diana Abu AlAdel for presenting to all secondary year groups about cybercrime for minors and the importance of responsible online behaviour. It is important that students understand that even a simple WhatsApp Sticker misused could have such dire consequences! Who knew!
Further information on the topic can be found here.
