As we reach the end of another fantastic year at Doha College Primary, and my first in the role of Head of Primary, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on our shared journey and extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our community.
As we reach the end of another fantastic year at Doha College Primary, and my first in the role of Head of Primary, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on our shared journey and extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our community.
This year has been one of outstanding growth, not only in academic achievement but in character, creativity and connection. From the very first showcase events in September to our creating connections events as well as our parent workshops, we have endeavoured to create stronger connections across our community. Our children have inspired us daily with their curiosity, kindness and determination and their boundless enthusiasm makes DC such a joyous place. Whether it was excelling in the classroom, performing on stage and during assemblies, competing on the sports field or simply showing compassion in the playground, our students have embodied the values we hold dear.
Among the many highlights, World Book Week and the visit of Toby Glover was a standout moment and celebration of reading and learning, and our Year 6 Graduation brought a tear to many eyes as we celebrated the journey of our oldest primary learners. Recently, I was immensely proud of our community's calm strength and togetherness during the last few weeks. The resilience shown by students and staff alike was truly inspiring. Your trust and support during that time and throughout the year remind us all of the power of community.
Our teachers and support staff have once again gone above and beyond. Their tireless commitment and passion make DC the safe, vibrant and inspiring place it is. I know how much parents value this, and I thank you for your kind words and partnership throughout the year.
To you, our parents, thank you! Your encouragement at home, presence at school events, and unwavering belief in your children are highly valued and never taken for granted. We are privileged to work alongside such a dedicated and engaged parent body.
To our families moving on this summer, we send our very best wishes, you will always be part of the Doha College family and we urge you to stay in touch.
And to all our children: you have achieved so much this year. Be proud. Keep asking questions, keep showing kindness, and remember, you are capable of great things.

The portfolio offers just a small glimpse of the incredible work we’ve seen throughout the year. Every Year 5 child should be incredibly proud of how far they’ve come as writers. A special congratulations goes to the children whose work has been selected — you should be especially proud of your achievement. We hope you enjoy reading these pieces as much as the children enjoyed creating them!
