Throughout the term, our commitment to maintaining exceptional standards in both learning and behaviour has been clear to see. This is a shared achievement, and one we’re proud of as a school community.
I’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge Year 10, whose conduct during their recent assessments has been truly exemplary. Every exam began on time—and in many cases, even earlier—thanks to the students’ impressive organisation and engagement. Their positive attitude and commitment to the process have been noted and appreciated by all staff involved. For many, it was their first experience of a formal exam setting during the GCSE years, and they showed real resilience and maturity in adapting to the challenge.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr North, Mrs Corr and Ms Stroud for their unwavering support of the Year 10s throughout this period—their guidance and care have made a real difference.
After the break, the Year 10 team will be reviewing student performance and providing personalised feedback to help identify any gaps in their understanding from the Year 10 curriculum, ensuring they’re well prepared for the year ahead.
I must also recognise our brilliant Heads of Departments who have arranged warm up sessions, Google Meeting (virtual) revisions sessions for students sitting external examinations, to ensure our pupils feel confident going into sitting their exams. These sessions and high level of preparedness will continue over the Eid holiday.
I thank my colleagues unreservedly for showcasing just how much they care about our children.
Wishing you all a restful and joyful Eid break.
