As the seasons change, we find ourselves entering the time of year when colds and flu become more prevalent. I wanted to take a moment to remind you of the importance of taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and well-being of our school community.
If your child is showing signs of illness, such as sore throat, headache, fatigue or coughing, please consider keeping them at home. This not only allows them the necessary time to recover but also helps prevent the spread of illnesses to their classmates and teachers.
Additionally, please be reminded that students who are unwell with a fever must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before they can return to school. Students with diarrhoea or vomiting may return to school 48 hours after the last episode. This reduces the spread of infection within our community and is crucial to foster a healthy environment within our school.
By working together and taking these simple yet impactful steps, we can create a healthier and more supportive learning environment for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Wishing you and your family a healthy and happy season.

Our DEI committee representatives from Year 6 to Year 13 and our EmpowHER committee CCA have been working around the theme of #AccelerateAction for International Women's Day this year, and were thrilled to hear about the experiences, challenges and successes of the panel. Students heard about the panelists' diverse journeys and the obstacles they overcame, from breaking barriers in their respective fields to advocating for gender equality and representation. It was truly empowering for all in attendance, as they were able to engage in candid conversations about the challenges and triumphs of women in leadership roles.
The visit highlighted the importance of both male and female students taking an active role in championing gender equality. The panel emphasised that empowering women is not just a women’s issue—it's a societal issue that requires the support and participation of everyone. Whether it’s supporting female peers, challenging gender stereotypes, or using one's voice to advocate for justice, everyone has a part to play in creating a more inclusive and equal world.
For the students, hearing the personal stories and advice from successful women in such influential positions served as a reminder that they too have the ability to shape their futures. The message that resonated most was that by using their voices, collaborating with others, and pushing forward with determination, they can all help #AccelerateAction towards creating a world where diversity is celebrated and equity is a reality.
As the session concluded, the DEI and EmpowHER committees were inspired to continue their work with even more passion, knowing they are part of a larger movement pushing for change. The visit was a powerful moment for all students to reflect on their own potential and to feel encouraged to be agents of change, no matter their gender. It was a reminder that when we support one another, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
I would like to once again extend our thanks to Zoe, Executive Assistant to His Majesty’s Ambassador, for supporting our work through this event.
