Doha College Pupil, Mikail, Conquers Annapuma Trek in Support of Gaza
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Mikail, a pupil at Doha College, who recently completed a six-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal. Covering over 80 kilometres at high altitude, this formidable challenge was not just a test of physical endurance, but a mission of compassion and global solidarity.
What makes this accomplishment even more inspiring is Mikail’s motivation — raising funds for humanitarian aid in Gaza. Through his self-initiated campaign, Mikail has already raised an outstanding £8,000 and continues his fundraising journey with unwavering passion.
Undertaking such a demanding expedition speaks volumes about Mikail’s resilience, determination, and empathy. Navigating rugged terrain, high altitudes, and physical exhaustion over nearly a week, all in the spirit of service, showcases the kind of character that Doha College strives to nurture in every student.
Mikail’s success reflects not only his personal grit but also the values and ethos of Doha College. At the heart of our school’s mission is a commitment to global citizenship, personal growth, and community impact — all of which Mikail exemplifies.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Mikail on this phenomenal milestone. His journey is a testament to the strength of young voices and the powerful change they can effect in the world.
The Doha College community stands behind him and looks forward to supporting his continued efforts. Let this achievement inspire us all to aim higher, care deeper, and act with purpose.
Climbing New Heights: Doha College Pupil Minha Summits Mount Kilimanjaro
At Doha College, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the awe-inspiring achievement of one of our remarkable pupils, Minha, who successfully summited Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, on 17 August 2025, during her summer break.
While many pupils were enjoying a well-earned rest, Minha spent her holiday undertaking a challenge that demands not just physical strength, but mental fortitude and extraordinary commitment. Training consistently throughout the break, she prepared herself for one of the most rigorous adventures a young person can experience—and she reached the summit with resilience, focus, and courage.
Climbing Kilimanjaro is no small feat. It requires endurance, grit, and the ability to push through harsh conditions—qualities Minha demonstrated in abundance. Her achievement is a shining example of what can be accomplished when discipline, teamwork, and perseverance come together.
At Doha College, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared to take on the world with confidence and character. Minha’s success reflects this vision. Her determination to use her time productively, challenge herself beyond the classroom, and support her team throughout the journey is something we deeply admire and celebrate.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Minha. Her journey to the roof of Africa is an inspiration to the entire Doha College community, and a reminder that greatness is achieved not only through talent, but through hard work, resilience, and a willingness to go the extra mile—even during the holidays.
