It has been wonderful over the past few weeks to see how well our new pupils and families have settled into our community and how quickly our long-standing pupils have focused on the additional learning and pressures that their new year group inevitably brings.
This half term ended with our annual Battle of the Bands tournament which saw ten talented pupil groups (and one untalented staff group!) battle it out to be crowned the Band of DC. I would like to pass on huge congratulations to the pupils and staff involved. This week has also seen our Year 6 Primary Investiture where our newly elected pupil leaders were celebrated and spoke so eloquently in front of a large audience of their peers, teachers and parents. It was an absolute privilege to see them step into these important roles. Finally, with the College enjoying cooler weather at last, sports fixtures have returned to DC after the summer break with our BSME netball team putting in an excellent match-winning performance against Doha British School.
Have a wonderful half-term everyone.
