Drama is an art form, a practical activity and a highly accessible intellectual discipline. It expresses human experience through a focus on role, action and tension, played out in time and space.

Drama leads directly into employment in the arts, communication and entertainment industries. There are also hundreds of careers and jobs (predominantly those that involve close contact with the public, such as teaching, law, medicine, PR work and the retail industry) which can be enhanced through a background in Drama. Many other occupations, particularly in the tourist and hospitality industries, actively seek recruits with a Drama background.
