Emma Brooks - Telford Agricultural Studies
I have been studying in the independent learning hub for two years now through the Telford programme and have had nothing but good experiences. I have completed various agriculture and equine based papers that have all given me a better understanding about agricultural studies. Telford has a very wide range of papers to suit everybody. When studying Telford it gives you the opportunity to broaden your horizons about your career pathway. They can provide you with the opportunity to complete papers that Waikato Dio does not have to offer, meaning that you can still learn around your chosen career pathway. Telford papers are an open book style of learning followed by the assessment. I have found that after you have submitted your assessments the Telford markers have always been good to me at getting my papers returned to me in sufficient amounts of time.
If you are interested in Agricultural studies I would definitely recommend to people looking at coming into the HUB classes to give the Telford papers a go because they are very informative and easy to understand even when you don’t have a teacher in front of you. My experience using Telford has been nothing but beneficial to my career pathway and has given me more understanding about my chosen topics.
I have found that learning in the HUB has not only given me the opportunity to study my agriculture but it has also taught me about learning independently and using my time management well and has prepared me well for the future and learning how to do things independently while ensuring that I get sufficient levels of work done. I have also really enjoyed being able to work at my own pace while also having access to the help that I need in the form of the HUB teachers.
