Course description:
This course provides students with an introduction to the world of accounting and an opportunity to become financially literate for tomorrow’s world. Learn the accounting lingo, and prepare, analyse and interpret financial statements for sole proprietors. Learn to keep personal and household financial affairs in order, as well as serve the community by managing club finances. The course is very comprehensive and is an excellent course of study for all students as it prepares the individual for the financial world.

Course of study:
The following topics are included:

• The conceptual basis of accounting. 

• Processing financial information and analysing transactions.

• Preparation of financial statements for sole proprietors.

• Analyse and explain financial information for a sole proprietor.

• Manual processing of financial information for a sole proprietor.

• Preparation of financial information for community organisations.
