Technology empowers students to design and create solutions that respond to real-world needs and opportunities. Through authentic contexts, students develop technological knowledge, design thinking and practical capability as they investigate, create, test and refine outcomes that consider people, culture, the environment and future sustainability. Students learn to think critically and creatively, make informed design decisions and understand the impact of technology on individuals, communities and society. By developing technological capability, students are prepared to confidently contribute to a rapidly changing world and pursue a wide range of future pathways.
Please note that all Technology classes have a limit in terms of maximum student numbers in order to meet health and safety requirements and other timetabling and specialist staffing restrictions. Where there are more students wishing to take a Technology course than there are places available, entry will be at the sole discretion of the HOD Technology. Priority will be given to students who have taken the subject before and who intend to pursue a career in that specific field.
